Dead Coast + Sharkmuffin + Calva Louise

We Can Do It Promotions presents...

In May we bring New Yorkers Sharkmuffin to The Lock Tavern. The night will be headlined by the mighty Dead Coast with support from our faves Calva Louise.

Dead Coast
Dead Coast Are a 4 piece psych blues / surf band based in London and are influenced by bands like the Doors, Captain Beefheart, Beach Boys & Syd Barrett etc

We’re so excited to be hosting Sharkmuffins first London gig! Here’s a few reasons why…
Sharkmuffin is Tarra Thiessen and Natalie Kirch, a duo of Brooklynite sirens bred from the waves of the Jersey shore. Influenced by everyone from Nirvana to The Ronettes, Sharkmuffin adds a unique jagged edge onto ‘60s beach pop meets ‘90s alt sound, a genre lovingly dubbed “opti-mystic glam-grunge.
“Their sound is energetic and wild, fitting for a band with a name like theirs. It’s rough and raw and soaked in whisky, just the way the best bands are.“ – The Village Voice

Calva Louise
Being named as one of the ‘Bands to watch in 2017’ by Indie Undergroundand having already supported Spring King twice Calva Louise are already making a name for themselves. They recently played Roundhouse Rising festival alongside Catholic Action and this is what DIY had to say about the bands performance: “Not only are they near-impossibly tight while taking most of their cues from fast-tempo US punk (think Dead Kennedys rather than Ramones), frontwoman Jess Allanic’s surf-rock guitar solos are pin-precise.” DIY Mag
